A Longitudinal Study of Effect of Employment Status Change on Life Satisfaction of Mid-aged Persons with Disabilities : Based on Comparison of Gender and Disability State

Abstract
The objective of this study was to examine a relationship between employment status change on life satisfaction of mid-aged with disabilities, based on comparison of gender and disability state. For the study, 3792 data, which derived from the first wave and the forth wave data from, Korea Employment Agency for the Disabled were utilized. To analyze the data, SPSS 19.0 was used. I examined the relationship between employment state change and life satisfaction in life cycle aspect, and the result was as follow. A employment maintenance and employment change among employment state changes appeared to be related to life satisfaction of a mid-aged man. I found out the difference according to sex and disability degree from this study on the relationship between change of employment state and life satisfaction. Form the result, we can raise understanding regarding a heterogeneity between groups. Based on the result, presented a practical intervention plan to be developed, and the quality of life of the disabled can be improved additionally with differences according to sex and disability degree and policy implication.
